Transitioning Youth

Dove Pointe offers programs for students transitioning from the high schools to the world of work through our Transitioning Youth Services. Dove Pointe works cooperatively with the local school, participating in the student's IEP to develop a plan for the student to attend Dove Pointe for part or all of the final school year.

Dove Pointe provides this service free of charge, and will assist with transportation to and from the school as needed. While attending Dove Pointe, the student may try out many different types of job experiences, receive formalized vocational evaluation testing, and begin a paid work experience.
